Boat Description

The Rain Goddess:

The Rain Goddess is an icon in the genre of luxury house boats. It has been acclaimed by boater enthusiasts and journalists alike in many famous boating magazines. The Rain Goddess is docked in the magnificent Lake Arenal in Costa Rica and it is now being offered here exclusively for sale.

The boat is priced to sell for $350,000. It includes two Ranger power fishing boats (included). It can be marketed as a floating hotel, for fishing trips, dinner cruses.(very lucrative), birding - providing an incredible view of the volcano. (The owner has an income statement for the past year, and it substantiates that the boat has been an excellent source of income.) People come half way around the world to visit Volcano Arenal. For about six months, the only good view of the lava flow is from the lake - where the Rain Goddess had the only view.

The boat is 14 years old, but was completely refurbished two years ago. The owner spent $180,000 at that time fiberglassing all but the hull, which is extra strength aluminum (to withstand impact with submerged objects).

A 65-foot long by 18-foot wide houseboat custom designed and built in the US and finished and fitted out in Costa Rica with elegant handcrafted furnishings, paneling in rare local woods, and six staterooms. Includes 2 full equipped speed fishing boats and all tackle. Four staterooms on the upper deck each offer a queen size and single bed, and two on the main deck have a double bed. Vessel is fully carpeted and air-conditioned, and guests dine in the main salon with its period furnishings or enjoy a more casual barbecue on the roofed upper deck. There is a cellular telephone with international and local service, television with VHS Twin 135 h.p. gas engines provide for silent running and two generators provide 110 and 12 volt current. The dual US Coast Guard approved sewage treatment tanks exceed local standards but reflect owner's concern for the environment.

Upon request there are recent articles about the rain Goddess in a couple of magazines that I will send to those who are interested. The first is a Recent article from Houseboat Adventure Magazine and another is Angles Addiction. It is a beautiful boat to live on, rent out on a temporary basis, or use as a floating hotel and rent to the 1,000's of visitors to Lake Arenal.
