Boat Description

It is virtually impossible to describe this fully restored 1966 Classic. The only possible way is to compare it to a completely restored 1966 Chevy Camero or Ford Mustang. In fact, it was included in the Hatteras 40th Anniversay Family Album. Furthermore, the owner has the original "Owners Manual" along with the copy of "Hatteras World" that it was advertised in. There is not enough room in this ad to fully explain what was done in this restoration. Virtually all hardware, electrical, mechanical and component systems were replaced with new. This includes new engines, Velvet drive transmissions, generator, props, shafts, rudders, hydraulic steering, cables, complete re-wiring of all electric, breaker panel, battery charger, reverse cycle air & heat, stove, refrigerator, stereo, microwave, head, Lectra San MSO System, trim tabs, through hull fittings and much more. In addition, the hull below the waterline was stripped to the gel coat and a series of Interlux Interprotect barrier coats was applied. Above the waterline, three coats of epoxy paint makes the boat appear as new. Inside the cabin, all original woodwork was stripped to bare grains of the mahogany and refinished with natural coats. In addition, all cushions inside are new including the forward stateroom, dinette and cockpit along with the perforated vinyl head liner and carpet. Since this is a new boat in an old shell, you must see it for yourself, as pictures nor words cannot describe what has been done with "Susie Q". With the comfort level built into this total refit, "Susie Q" would qualify as a long range cruiser that will turn a lot of heads.
