The Tamtam, a 17 metre wooden ketch has disappeared from moorings at Terenganu, Malaysia, where she was undergoing final fittings before coming home to Koh Samui, Thailand. The fitters claim that she sank, "due to a woodworm", which seems unlikely with her new ironwood construction, and the fact that she didn't spring a leak en-route from Sulawesi. I suspect that they sold Tamtam illegally, especially after asking if the owner was willing to accept an offer of $25K a few days before the "sinking" in 4 metres of calm waters whewre she was moored.
If anyone has seen the Tamtam, or has any advice or information, please let me know.
