We are now offering a 42 foot trawler yacht with traditional lines, designed to give great economy and the utmost in comfort and elegance. This model was developed at the suggestion of our clients who wanted a motor yacht of classic lines, emphasising spaciousness and tank capacity for the maximum autonomy. That was exactly what we managed to do. The part of the saloon designed for entertainment occupies more than half of the pilot-house area. Seven passengers seat comfortably at the dining table and there are two other armchairs at the other side to complete the accommodations. A comfortable U shaped galley is placed at the port side of the saloon, with double sinks, a four burner stove with oven, refrigerator and freezer. The navigation table is placed on the opposite side of the galley with steering wheel and instrument panel.
The sleeping quarters are suited for up to six persons. There are two double berth cabins, one en-suite, and another cabin with two single berths at the foc`sle. There is a desk with an armchair placed in this cabin and also a large hanging locker. The second heads is the social one,as the other one has a Plexiglas walled shower box. We gave special attention to the functionality when arranging the after deck. The fly-bridge covers two thirds of its length, which may be completed by a permanently installed awning. The after deck has the same cosy furnishing as the main saloon. There are two L shaped seats, one at each corner of the transom, the starboard one having a swimming pool style table with two extra chairs, To make life more enjoyable, a counter with sink and refrigerator is placed at the rear of the saloon after wall,a step away from the after deck seats, the right distance not to let the beer warm up.
We opted for a displacement trawler, for long cruising ranges ( about two thousand miles ) and economy in engine cost and fuel consumption. With one or two engines options and fitting up to two 125 inboard engines, the Curruira Explorer 42 reaches 10 knots at full speed.
For the serious cruising couple with occational guests onboard, we offer an alternative Master Stateroom version with a Queen-size bed plus a double berth guest cabin. Shared bathroom with two selective locking doors. See plan at the bottom.
The Curruira Explorer 42´ is designed by Roberto Barros, a well known Brazilian marine designer who is himself an avid ocean sailor and the designer of Amyr Klink´s Antarctica sailing vessel the Paratii.
