This trawler style power catamaran and passagemaker is capable of crossing oceans and global circumnavigation. New Zealand yacht designer Malcolm Tennant designed this vessel to be a spacious and practical 'home' on the water coupling performance with practicality to create a truly unique and unsinkable vessel - one that can safely explore the oceans at large.
The "New Yorker 51" that we are building is a serious offshore power catamaran - an ocean cruising power cat with three ensuite double cabins and a 2.300 nautical mile cruising range at 9 knots. It has rough water performance enhancing features such as the curved wing deck and anti slamming nacelle that have been ocean proved on the nine of Tennant's designs that have, so far, crossed the Pacific on their own bottoms. This boat can get you there - quickly, safely and comfortably - whether you are heading up the coast a hundred miles to your favourite fishing hole or circumnavigating the planet on the trip of a lifetime and crossing vast oceans.
Blue Horizon Catamarans are building this boat using the top technology and products money can buy with no expenses spared - the first of its kind, from renowned designer Malcolm Tennant, on the market. This power catamaran is capable of comfortably circling the globe.
The boat is for sale now - and due to splash in October of this year in Ilhabela, Brazil. There's still time for a buyer to partially customise the boat to their desires.
