Bessie Rose is a fine Hunter yacht with many sea miles left in her. She is currently anchored in Luperon Bay in the beautiful Dominican Republic. This yacht is patiently awaiting her new owner and patiently waiting to go back to sea! She needs a little attention but not much. A little tender love and care should do the job nicely! Reasonably priced and in a super location if you are considering cruising the Caribbean! Good strong stainless steel grab rails mounted topsides for your safety and protection. The owner tells me that the standing rigging was changed in 1981 and includes swageless fittings all around. Deck is firm and solid to walk on. The mast is a keel stepped Kenyon of painted aluminum as is the boom. Two Lewmar #40 cockpit winches and two Lewmar #8 winches mast mounted. Boom gallows needs to be replaced but all running rigging appears to be serviceable. Brand new VETUS Diesel engine has just recently been installed so you can expect reliable performance for many years to come. Most of you know that VETUS engines are a bit more expensive than most others but the dependability of service was felt by the owner to be well worth the additional cost!
