DRENEC, originally built in 1964 by the Hallense Shipyard in The Netherlands, as a North sea fishing trawler. She underwent a conversion in approximately 1986 for two years to a trawler yacht. The conversion retained the spirit and atmosphere of a working ship, providing safety on board and flexibility in navigation.
Accommodations consist of one master cabin and three comfort cabins for passengers as well as four standard cabins for crew. The cabins, each with private bathroom, are spacious and comfortable, and able to accommodate from eight to twelve passengers with four crew. Each cabin is fitted with lockers and shelving/storage spaces. Of course there is air conditioning throughout. The main dining room can seat 12 guests, with additional dining areas on the upper and lower deck. DRENEC is now lying in Zadar Marina, Zadar, Croatia. An earlier haulout involved hull plating tests being done and the steel received high marks. She just had quite a bit of work done on her, including hull & bridge repainting, refurnishing of the teak decks, and an entire new master cabin with teak paneling, including the en suite head. Owner would consider long term charter.
