Built as an island trader, Carmela has been running day-charters out of Dominica, where she was built. To the best of our knowledge, she is the last Caribbean-built and worked schooner.
Presently, she is still set up for cargo, with a large hold (potential cabin space), a hydraulic windlass (5-ton capacity) & two deck cranes (1-ton capacity each).
Ideal for group term charters (sail-training, team-building, etc.), a refit for cargo/fishing and/or a basis for a maritime heritage foundation.
We are open to all interested parties & possible ventures!
